Hudson Trail Outfitters wanted to increase their social media presence and brand awareness to the local community. In partnership with The North Face, we introduced a Facebook-only photo contest in which users submitted adventure photos (+like the page) to a custom-built app. Once submitted, any Facebook user could cast a vote for their favorite photos. We titled it "Travel Far, Shop Local" to highlight HTO's local roots and how their gear allowed you to go anywhere. At the end of the month-long contest, the picture/user with the most votes won a $500 The North Face shopping spree at an HTO store and a trip for two to Bryce Mountain ski resort.



Imagery & Campaign Success

We wanted to convey a sense of adventure and wanderlust to the consumer, so we combed through The North Face's expansive image library to find the perfect ones.

Using co-op dollars, we promoted the contest on all of HTO's social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and invited everyone to participate. The contest not only encouraged users to share their entries with their friends and family, it garnered big buzz for the HTO Facebook page.
